Click here to see our individual BIOS The Collective has worked with and looks forward to working with the following percussionists on future projects: Ian Borak, Gunnar Folsom, Mike Franklin, Dean Moore and Memmi Ochi Our repertoire features work from the masters of the 20th century, as well as, work of our contemporaries in the 21st century. Our programs will combine the excitement of world premieres with the energy and power of works by luminaries like John Cage, Mauricio Kagel, Iannis Xenakis among others. Our hope is to introduce new work for percussion that will stand beside the great works of the past and allow us to appreciate in a new light the variety and scope of percussion music. Seattle Percussion Collective concerts will not only feature works for the quintet, but also pieces for solo, duo, percussion trios, quartets, and larger ensemble works for non-percussion and percussion instruments. This will allow us to focus our concerts around themes or unifying ideas and not be limited to the exclusive notion of performing as a septet. We believe our work as a quintet will be informed by the personality of each individual performer and allow us to prosper as artists. This will also provide opportunities for collaboration with other soloists, groups or artists in other disciplines. |
